Pathway library

General pathway types the planner can recommend. Confirm each opportunity is approved before counting it.

Chapel attendance

Discipleship

Unique conversion: floor(attendances ÷ 10) Discipleship SLCs. 10 = 1, 20 = 2, 30 = 3, 40 = 4. Partial blocks do not earn credit. This does not determine your separate Chapel attendance requirement.

Spiritual Formation Group (SFG)

Discipleship

Non-Chapel Discipleship conversion: 10 approved hours = 2 SLCs, 15 = 3, 20 = 4, 25 = 5. Requires sustained participation before credit is awarded.

Mentorship

Discipleship

Same non-Chapel Discipleship conversion. 10 approved hours = 2 SLCs, 15 = 3.

Retreat / Conference

Discipleship

Same non-Chapel Discipleship conversion. Confirm approval before counting.

Service

Service

Service SLCs help students participate in missional service, care for others, and live out the love of Christ in practical ways. Approved Service opportunities may include Jessup-sponsored outreach, local church service, community service, global outreach, approved ministry involvement, approved service-based vocational experiences, and other Campus Ministries-approved service opportunities. Campus Ministries reserves the right to determine whether a specific service opportunity qualifies for SLC credit. Conversion: 5 approved hours = 1 Service SLC, in whole five-hour blocks.

Paid Ministry

Service

Approved paid ministry roles may count toward SLCs, subject to Campus Ministries guidelines, documentation requirements, and semester limits. Examples may include youth ministry, worship ministry, kids ministry, church internships, and other approved ministry involvement. Paid ministry roles must include meaningful ministry engagement and require supervisor verification. Students may earn up to 2 Service SLCs per semester in the Paid Ministry Role category (5 approved hours = 1 Service SLC, in whole five-hour blocks). Campus Ministries reserves the right to determine whether a paid ministry role qualifies for SLC credit.
